late pregnancy back pain and rectal pressure?

I was at the doctors on Friday and he said I was 1.5 cm dilated, yesterday I seemed to do something to aggravate my very lower back and for over 36 hours I cant really even walk up right I have to hunker over… I have been having rectal pressure all day feels like I need to go # 2 but I don’t need to when I try… I had a warm bath to try and help the back and it did for about 15 min after I got out, but then I’m back to the pain and pressure, it seems to get better if I lay down but never completely goes away…I haven’t lost my mucous plug and am not showing any other “signs” of labour such as contractions, what might be the cause?? I’m 38 weeks 3 days

i would call the hospital and talk to the dr. on call! you could be having back labor! Which is what it sounds like to me so you could have started labor 36 hours ago! i would definately call and see what they say! they might tell you to take some tylonal and put your feet up and rest then call them back if 1. it doesnt go away 2. if your water breaks or you start bleeding! honestly… i think you should call a doctor right now. same thing happend to me. felt like i needed to go to the bathroom all day. by 12 the next morning i went pee to find blood and rushed to the hospital. had my baby 30 min after arriving. turns out i was in labor all day. good luck!!!

you could actually be in labor..when I was delivering (just yesterday:)) I had so much pressure there and felt like I had to go number 2 and I was surprised I didn’t hehe.
