It doesn’t happen extremely often but I randomly get this pain in the mid to back left part of my head. It hurts but only for a few seconds then it goes away and i doesn’t happen again for a long time. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I used to get migraines really bad could that have anything to do with it?
I haven’t hit my head recently…

If you hit it recently it could be a cuncussion.Ice does well.wait wait-could be I heard this on House, and its a long shot but it could be a blood clot, too small to hurt you,but but big enugh to cause discomfort.

It could be caused by tight neck muscles. If it’s only periodically happening on one side consider it’s related to your jaw. You may clench your teeth or grind while sleeping. The next time you are at the dentist getting a cleaning mention that you have an occasional pain only on one side and could he check your bite to make sure it’s straight (if it’s not the tm joint in your jaw doesn’t relax and can cause pain on one side from the head all the way down the neck). A good stretch for the muscles at the base of the skull is called a chin tuck - lie down flat on your bed, bring your chin towards your chest 10 times. You should feel the stretch at the base of the skull. If it really bothers you on a regular basis make an appointment with a chiropractor who can also help with your migraines.
